14 October: the reading for this birthday alone
Those born on the 14th love to keep moving, not to stop. Travel, trade and communication open their hands, and they are quick to spot a new chance. They are not afraid of risk, and that is where care is needed; money decisions taken on impulse have cost them most.
The Sun at birth: Virgo · Chitra. At your birth the Sun stood in Virgo. An eye for detail and the urge to do things perfectly are in your nature. You are skilled in accounts, health, service or analysis. You dwell on your own mistakes; watch also that pointing out other people's does not make you harsh.
The Sun sits in the last third of the sign, a portion (drekkana) ruled by Venus, so taste, artistic sense and sweetness in relationships are added. The Sun in Chitra gives an eye for design, decoration and making beautiful things; your work gets noticed. The planet of your root number and the lord of the Sun's sign are the same: Mercury. So this planet's qualities work in your life with double strength.
Born on 14 October, with the Sun in Virgo: four areas of life
Career
There are more chances for you in business, travel, media or quick-decision work. You are exacting in accounting, medicine, pharmacy, research, editing or IT.
Money
Risky deals bring big gains and big losses; never decide on money in a rush of feeling. Careful with money and never wasteful, though worry can make you miss chances.
Love and relationships
You want freedom; agree the ground rules with your partner early. You show love in deeds rather than words; small acts of care reveal your heart.
Health
Irregular meals and sleep are your weak point; keeping a routine solves a lot. Mind the intestines and digestion; regular eating habits solve a lot.
The Sun’s sign and nakshatra are worked out from the day and month; for a birth close to the day the Sun changes sign, it can shift by a day from year to year. Check the full birth chart to be sure.
Your three-layer personality
the Sun: Inside, you are built for independence. From childhood, an order given in the wrong tone makes something in you refuse, and you find no peace unless the decision is your own.
Rahu: Outside, you are hardworking and reliable. Give you a task and it gets done, even if the method is not one anybody recognises.
Root number 5 belongs to Mercury, the messenger, so speaking, writing, reckoning and bargaining all come naturally to you. You can adapt yourself to any situation, and that flexibility has rescued you from trouble more than once. But Mercury will not let you sit still. The work that demands patient persistence is exactly where you stumble most. The large gains of your life will arrive when you finally choose one thing and stay with it.
neutral Inside versus outside: The relation between inside and outside is neutral. You can show either face as the situation requires, and that flexibility is your advantage.
