Compound number 31 · root number 4
Born on 31 December
Rahu · the ability to think differently
Root number 4 belongs to Rahu, the shadow planet, whose nature is to avoid the easy route. Nothing in your life arrives in a straight line either.
Compound number 31: The number of the solitary seeker. You are alone even in a crowd, and that solitude gives you a depth others do not have.
Your three-layer personality
Jupiter: Inside, you are curious and hopeful. The chance to learn something new freshens your whole mind.
the Sun: The world outside knows you as a confident person. Whatever group you are in, the responsibility arrives on your shoulders before anyone has assigned it.
Root number 4 belongs to Rahu, the shadow planet, whose nature is to avoid the easy route. Nothing in your life arrives in a straight line either. What another person reaches in ten years you may reach in fifteen, but what you reach, nobody can take from you. Those born under this number find, again and again, that a major upheaval arrives midway through life, and that the real progress begins only after it. Patience is your greatest asset and haste your greatest enemy.
friend Inside versus outside: The inner mind and the outward behaviour support each other. You do what you think, which is why people trust you easily.

- Career turning point
- The turn comes through a sacrifice that looks like a loss at the time and proves to be a gain later.

The main areas of life
Career
Technology, engineering, research, electricity and machinery, construction, transport, work with a foreign connection, and any unconventional profession. Your second layer, 1 (the Sun), adds: Administration, management, senior government posts, your own business and politics. Broadly, wherever the final decision rests in your hands, that is where you do your best work.
Money
Money comes and goes by unexpected routes. Sudden gain is indicated, and so is sudden expense. For you, savings are the only real security.
Love & marriage
You feel deeply but express awkwardly. The person who understands what your silences mean is the one who can stay with you for life. You give more than you get. Life becomes beautiful with the person who understands that.
Health
Nerves, skin, knees and sleep. Feeling unwell for no traceable reason is a familiar complaint under this number. Also, through the Sun: The weak points are the eyes, heart, blood pressure and spine. Fatigue collects quietly under continuous work, and one day it surfaces all at once.
